Men's Marc Jacobs Fall 2011
We can't be young forever, but the way these clothes fit might say otherwise. I love that designers are embracing comfort. Rather than using militarianism literally, MJ takes his men's collection to a simplified version using the textures and colors in contrast to its classic design. There is definitely a different wave streaming through 2011 and 2012... Seeing menswear after menswear makes me even more curious about what may come for us gals. I have a general idea, but my general idea isn't enough! I need more...

today, i just discovered a company that sells children's clothing... but it's no baby GAP. i introduce... Childrensalon. Suri Cruise and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt aren't the only kids with kicks. now even non-celebrity offsprings can run around in rompers by D&G and Burberry, and shoes by Vivienne Westwood and Dior. however, no Chanel or Louis Vuitton. hmmmmmm...

someday.... i want to be at Lincoln Center and personally experience fashion week and rub shoulders with fashion's elites. but until that day comes, i have youtube and other sites (thank God). it's hard to grasp the essence of each collection unless you listen to the music, observe the way the clothes swing, and even the way the models strut their stuff down the catwalk. everything is coordinated by the designer, so it's important to watch. i picked out some of my faves from NYFW. not all are of the best quality but i tried to find the best...

I've known this for some time now, and I guess I've forgotten since summer started... but hemlines go DOOOOWWWWWNNNNNNN. down. You hear that, ladies? DOWN. No minis. No thighs. Just knees. And your eyes. (that last one was 'just cause' cause i wanted to rhyme hehe). Unless you want to go pantsless, because apparently it's going to be huge. Don't even get me started... there's a lot I have to say about pantslessness, and it's nothing good. So onto the main topic of this post: MJ did it again. He's pleased me! No, I'm no Anna Wintour nor Carine Roitfeld (google her) so my opinion means jack shit, but in my world I'm the Queen B. He did it for me in shoes. He did it for me in handbags. He did it for me in menswear (yes! menswear!). He did it for me in hair. He did it for me in everything. Let's be punch drunk in love with Marc Jacobs.

Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 RTW
He did it again. He moved us, shook us, inspired us, and now he's got us wrapped tightly around his Moroccan vacation tanned finger. As Amy Larocca from The Cut puts it: Purely Sublime. The collection looks like a beautiful dream out of a 1940s storybook, with clean lines adorned with fur and sequins; It's a magical fairytale fit for a modern princess. Look #45 is my favorite (fourth photo posted). The extended leather gloves and the floor-length jersey draped dress trimmed with a fur collar is dramatically picturesque, and that is even without sequins. With a line this beautiful, I only wonder what would come of his other line, Marc by Marc Jacobs. Hmmmmm...
