NYFW vids

someday.... i want to be at Lincoln Center and personally experience fashion week and rub shoulders with fashion's elites. but until that day comes, i have youtube and other sites (thank God). it's hard to grasp the essence of each collection unless you listen to the music, observe the way the clothes swing, and even the way the models strut their stuff down the catwalk. everything is coordinated by the designer, so it's important to watch. i picked out some of my faves from NYFW. not all are of the best quality but i tried to find the best...

Nicholas K, Spring 2011

I... Am... Speechless... And full of thoughts all at the same time. I pretty much had a moment... an O moment to be exact... as soon as I saw the first look. And it just got better, and better, and better.... *sigh... and better. I know it's only like... day two but damn. This is my favorite collection by far. The last time I got this excited about a collection was when I was first introduced to Richard Chai's 2009 Spring ready-to-wear.


This is the first time I've seen anything by Nicholas K, and I'm love-love-loving it! Lately, I've been embracing the 'loose' fit, and this collection sums up everything I want to be, want to look like, want to embrace. It's like... the revolutionist Che, meets downtown chic, meets I-Don't-Give-A-Fuck-About-Your-Face. I'm digging the boots, the beret, the colors, the draping and tying and buckling and everything! I'm sorry.. Suppose I haven't collected myself just yet. Where's my cigarette. I need a cigarette.
