Alberta Ferretti Spring 2011 campaign

i distinctively remember this collection last September. it was when i fell for softness and romance all over again. for a long time i was really into the hard and edgy looks, and i loved black so much strangers could have safely assumed i was in mourning. i love seeing Sasha Pivovarova in their Spring 2011 campaign. i love this collection, and i love her! she's been my favorite for years, and she still is. these photos are surreal.

A Bride's Funeral

This was shot by Craig McDean back in 2006, with models Sasha Pivovarova and Natasa Vojnovic, featuring couture by Jean Paul Gaultier, Valentino, Versace, Armani Prive, Chanel, and Christian Lacroix. This was one of the editorials that got me obsessively hooked onto fashion. I love, love, LOVE the ugly, the raw, and all the same the beautiful. Wearing romantic lace and silk gowns and turning it into an image that is the opposite inspires me to think outside of the box. Reminds me of Tim Burton's work... and I love his work.

Sasha Pivovarova & Company...

Model Sasha Pivovarova did a spread with a few up-and-coming-gonna-make-it-real-big bands for Vogue. She's by far my favorite model in the biz. Have you seen her walk?! If you haven't, YouTube her. Now. And she has this look that is so strong and fierce, plus she is soooo versatile. Love it.
