caution: color and prints

i usually steer clear for prints and vibrant colors. not that i think it's distasteful, but it's just not for me. i like to stay within the muted solids like black, navy, white, off-white, and the occasional red, and then add accents like gold, silver, or a discussion-worthy jacket. i think i'll tread outside of my comfort zone this Spring. i can't help but be willingly obliged.

GUCCI 3D

would you pay $225 for a pair of Gucci 3D glasses that can only be worn inside? sure, why not? some people pay over $10k for a Balmain jacket. they say movies of the future will only be in 3D, so i guess you can consider this as an investment. in 15 years when you're watching Shrek 12 in 3D in theaters, you can say to your kids, "Kids... these are vintage Gucci." and your kids will think, "Dad, you're so cool!" (because by that time at this rate, i'm predicting all kids from birth+ will have as much fashion knowledge and be fashion savvy as Anna Dello Russo and Anna Wintour combined). these pilot-shaped aviators are supposed to hit US Gucci stores exclusively in December. I wonder how they'll do... I'm pretty sure all the brand-whores will be all up on that like fat on a fat kid.
