Emilio Pucci, Spring 2011

There will be hippies, but not your mom and dad's hippie. Watch out for the new and improved!! Because these looks are just too hot and cool and dangerous all at the same time. Emilio Pucci's woman knows how to wear tye-dye and leather over-the-knee tie-ups in the chic-est manner. Word is, Peter Dundas is building a house on the coast of Greece. Hmm, I wonder how he got a collection so bohemian chic...

Dsquared, Spring 2011

Dsquared was a bit obnoxious last year, but this time the duo designed to my liking. Separates are major for the upcoming year, and not to mention the overly-emphasized prep. The ideal Dsquared girl is a cool prepster by day, and a glamorous woman by night... but of course the glasses stay. My favorite looks are the third and fifth looks posted down. Yes, yes.. I know. The latter is what you fashion-don't-know-it-alls call "lesbian". But like I give a rat's ass. It's just too hot to drop.

I'd wear this

oversized tee
pleated boyfriend chino shorts
aviators

it's like, she's me. but blonde.
i see this, and i wish summer was still around.

Lara Stone for Vogue Paris

mmhmm. you love fashion now, don't you.

abbey lee kershaw

she's one of my favorite models.
and i love the long sheer skirt she's got on.
can i be 5'10 too?! :(

Alberta Ferretti, Spring 2011

Let's stroll through the garden, shall we? How romantic this collection is... You'll never see me in floral prints but this, I can do. There's a softer wave going through the fashion world and it's surprisingly growing on me. I've already seen enough chiffon and silk to dress Queen Elizabeth II and her ladies in waiting back in her earlier years (that was quite a court...). Let's just fall in love for the sake of falling in love...

No. 21, Spring 2011

Simple lines, but still very interesting. I like that. It's a different silhouette, which is fresh since everything has been belted at the waist instead of the hips. These dresses make me want to be fabulously lazy off the coast of Greece. Those shoes are going to be mine. It's beautiful.

I'm in love

Burberry Prorsum Spring 2011

but i'm not in love with the girl who finished the show. she has the most awkward walk and poor thing looked so miserable on the runway.

Messenger Bag!

I am still looking for the perfect messenger bag for fall and winter. Hmm, what do you think of this one at bloomingdales?

Marc Jacobs ONLINE!

NYFW vids

someday.... i want to be at Lincoln Center and personally experience fashion week and rub shoulders with fashion's elites. but until that day comes, i have youtube and other sites (thank God). it's hard to grasp the essence of each collection unless you listen to the music, observe the way the clothes swing, and even the way the models strut their stuff down the catwalk. everything is coordinated by the designer, so it's important to watch. i picked out some of my faves from NYFW. not all are of the best quality but i tried to find the best...

L.A.M.B., Spring 2011

It's official. Gwen Stefani has a permanent spell over me. And I don't mind it at all. I've been a huge fan since I was a little kid, listening to "Tragic Kingdom" for the first time. That moment is still very vivid in my mind and I'll never forget it. This collection takes me back to the time No Doubt's "Return To Saturn" came out back in 2000 or something... she was all about color back then... but this is a more refined reflection of that Gwen. Like her previous collections, this one also has the Afro-Caribbean beat... but with more print. And lots of it. Not everyone can pull off prints but if Gwen says it's okay, then count me in. (she makes everything so cool.)

J. Mendel, Spring 2011

At first I was a little weary... but wow! Oh... my... gott. Brilliantly pleated silk chiffon, vibrant orange/red Louboutins, Tibetan lamb and shadow fox fur... It's a wonderful world in the land of J. Mendel. After designing New York City Ballet's summer production Call Me Ben, ballerinas and chiffon were still on his mind. It's so obviously beautiful, yet naturally understated.

Marc by Marc Jacobs, Spring 2011

I've known this for some time now, and I guess I've forgotten since summer started... but hemlines go DOOOOWWWWWNNNNNNN. down. You hear that, ladies? DOWN. No minis. No thighs. Just knees. And your eyes. (that last one was 'just cause' cause i wanted to rhyme hehe). Unless you want to go pantsless, because apparently it's going to be huge. Don't even get me started... there's a lot I have to say about pantslessness, and it's nothing good. So onto the main topic of this post: MJ did it again. He's pleased me! No, I'm no Anna Wintour nor Carine Roitfeld (google her) so my opinion means jack shit, but in my world I'm the Queen B. He did it for me in shoes. He did it for me in handbags. He did it for me in menswear (yes! menswear!). He did it for me in hair. He did it for me in everything. Let's be punch drunk in love with Marc Jacobs.

Badgley Mischka, Spring 2011

I think of photos of my mom when she was in her prime. I used to cringe at what she used to wear in her twenties, but now I see that what I associated with unflattering can be made beautiful. The first number I posted instantly grabbed my attention. That color is so stimulating, it's like an eye-gasm. And the entire collection is timelessly glamorous. I'm actually surprisingly in love with these dresses... I could get married in one of 'em (specifically talking about that pale/muted pink a few down).

coolest. bookstore. ever.

located in The Netherlands, this bookstore, called Boekhandel Selexyz Dominicanen in Maastricht, used to be a Dominican church. it's so beautiful. and genius. i could stay there for hours... Take me there.
