Fresh for Diversity

the faces of Asia are definitely making more appearances in editorials and on runways, and i'm really excited about it. when i first saw Tao Okamoto for Ralph Lauren back in '08, i had a really good feeling about her and diversity. of course she wasn't the first-ever Asian to do the catwalk but she was the first promising Asian model that i've seen. hopefully it's not just a 'trend' but something that will become a level of standard. our world's closed-minded perception is changing for the better faster than ever. yay for change.
