"Anna Wintour has voiced concerns before over Serge Becker’s new Jamaican restaurant opening near her townhouse, but last night she finally threw down the gauntlet. Fresh off a Voguereshuffling, Wintour stormed a West Village community-board meeting at the Shrine Church of Saint Anthony of Padua, and proceeded to rally residents to squash Becker’s Miss Lily. Wintour was most concerned about preservation, saying “This is a unique historic neighborhood.” And, of course, the children. “I'm also concerned for the safety of the kids here." She even got her son, Charlie, to chime in. "This is not a place for bars. I don't care if you call it a restaurant. No restaurant stays open until 2 a.m." Wintour later asked attendees to vote against the project by raising their hands. After being informed that hand-raising was not allowed, she asked them to clap instead. So subversive!"

i find it amusing that she asked everyone to clap because hand-raising was not allowed.
