3.1 Phillip Lim Fall 2010 RTW

I'm just going to say this now because I'm going to eventually anyway: Neutral is the new Black. Since the first day of NYFW for Fall, I noticed the absence of my favorite classic all black, head to toe looks on the runways. To my surprise it wasn't disappointing at all, but rather refreshing and exciting. I love my blacks. I really do. However it's time for some change. And I like this new change. Phillip Lim did wonders with his collection. My favorite item is the tuxedo jacket. He perfected the lapel with that beautiful satin silk. My favorite jacket is the black on gold in the second look posted. The lapel is cut off on the top and I'm in love with it. Though I wouldn't wear gold trousers, I would definitely pair this with a LBD... or in the case of the new trend, a LWD.
