Hedi Slimane, one of the more impressive artists of our time, photographed the now legendary actor (in my book he is) Robert De Niro. i remember him in 'Goodfellas' when i saw him first as the notorious Jimmy, even before 'The Godfather II'. he was impressive, or maybe it was his mole that did all the walking and talking. at that tender young age, i thought, "he's so cool and handsome." when you look at him now, you think: Grandpa Joe from Queens. but somewhere beneath those wise-lines and silver hair is still a man with natural swagger. thank you, Mr. De Niro, for aging handsomely without cosmetic surgery.
