Men's Alexander McQueen Fall 2011

Now that Sarah Burton has taken over the brand after the late designer, it's going to be interesting to see if a woman's touch can make or break this dark fantasy-driven house of McQueen. After reviewing the Pre-Fall collection, it's obvious that she might add the little bit of practicality that some thought the collections prior to needed. The men's collection for Fall is nonetheless imaginative and daring, but it gives it a human touch, something that more may connect to. For lack of better words, it's less editorial and more commercial. I can't confidently say if she's going to keep up McQueen's unattainable reputation, but we won't really know until we see the woman's collection next month.

As for now, enjoy some more wool and tweed, and a change of pace for men's trousers. I'm so excited to see that they're growing wider again and a little bit more manlier, if I may add. I've never had anything against those (pardon my language) nut-hugging, calf-squeezing, asscrack-exploiting skinnies that so many unfortunate men have shown off (what they're showing off is unseemly). I'll show you fine examples of more handsome trousers after this post. Keep your eyes peeled!
