KATE MOSS IS BOSS

not only did she land the cover of British Vogue's September issue, celebrated her 30th Vogue cover (major accomplishment), and completed 14 collections at Topshop, but she also got a major spread in Paris Vogue for the September issue. she's mobbin.

the silent swagger

the best kind of swagger is the kind that is silent.
it makes the biggest impact in a room.

woman under fire

look at that hair.
look at that green.
look at that print.

tres chic

i love me some MAN p.3

there is nothing more sexy than a man in a classic trench.
i can promise you that.

personal

some have suggested i post personal photos of my day-to-day fits.
i tried to. and i can't.
it just feels a little too vain, and that's not what my blog is about.
but maybe i'll try again someday.

ps:
kudos to those who can.
courage is something not everyone can attain.

The Roots

i wanna do that to my hair, too...
except i'm asian and asians tend to look trashy with hair like that.
w. t. eff.

and those suede sky highs... *drool

Classic American Sportswear

Model: Lara Stone
Photographer: Mert & Marcus
Vogue US September 2010

what a stunning photoshoot! i've never seen her look "so american" before. i'm really loving this look on her, though it does age her... reminds me of January Jones in 'Mad Men' and Kate Winslet in 'Revolutionary Road'... both with amazing costumes. now i wanna watch the latter for the umpteenth time this weekend, and again i'm reminded of how behind i am in keeping up with 'Mad Men'. unfortunately, i'll have no time this weekend as i'll be seeing Lady Gaga (eek!!!!) it's going to be yet another glorious weekend. pictures from the concert will be posted, though i haven't figured out what i'll be wearing tomorrow... to go all Gaga or not? hmmm...

Chanel's KHAKIS

summer can go away now.
fall is the new hot.

i really want Vert.

you know my birthday is coming up???
just sayin'

look for all three after September 10 (aka Fashion's Night Out)

sandstone love

i've been looking at numerous homes with all kinds of interior styles and it hasn't been easy. i'm a very picky person with a particular kind of taste for design. it seems as though my ideal home doesn't exist unless i have a billion dollars to spend without blinking twice. this home has pretty much everything i want, except it's gonna cost both arms and both legs. plus it's located in Paddington, Sydney, which is a very, very, very nice area. i'm all in love with the sandstone walls. *sigh...

don't ask why i was searching in australia...

living room. the room i want to live in

high ceilings
tall windows
floor-sweeping drapes
beige
naturals

it's like it's meant to be mine *wink

couldn't have explained it better myself

Rachel Zoe has my dream job, and Simon Doonan is my fantasy godfather.

I WANT TO BE A STYLIST.
but i would also like to eat.
no offense miss Zoe, but when i see food.... "I die."

Dree Hemingway

yes, she is related to that Hemingway

Tweed Lurve

take one: eyes are closed and jeans are absent
take two: eyes are open, but jeans are still absent

There was a Tweed Lurve sighting at SLU 6th Annual block party.
It was a Kodak moment.

Check out Dave and his SF buddy at The Tweed Blazer

my mind went, "....."

i don't like frilly flower lacy things

i know this is a bachelor's pad but i'm really attracted to certain items of furniture in this loft.

1. leather roller arm desk chair - WOW. where can i get one?!
2. the mirrors behind the projector screen - totally opens up the space and is a nice balance from the glass desk
3. glass top desk - how can you not love a glass top desk? it's modern classic.
4. natural woods and colors, plus fabrics and other materials really warm up this concrete space. even without rugs, it doesn't appear cold and too industrial. designer Chris Cushingham did an amazing job with his LA loft. i can't wait to own my own place someday... (i'm currently looking at places to buy...eek!)

Michael Kors and being American

i can't get sick of her. ever. never. ever.

FNO + Seattle

Interestingly enough, Seattle is mentioned in Fashionista regarding Fashion's Night Out 2010.

Cool.

US Vogue - THE SEPTEMBER ISSUE

yes, it's been released.
she looks soooooo fresh with her new do.
and this issue is a wopping 726 pages.

dizzammmm.

after refusing to do a big cover for so many years, Vogue gave her an offer she couldn't refuse:

"what that means for women of color, and what that means in the fashion world, what that means to pop culture, there was no way i could say, 'no, i'm not going to be on the biggest issue of the year.'"

i love me some MAN p.2

i like a man in a half-buttoned shirt and untied oxfords.

HM fall...

"jen, why do you dress so lesbian?"

it's one thing to label a style as "lesbian"
and it's another to judge when you know nothing about fashion.

loser, please.
