Christian Dior Fall 2010 RTW

So... for today's opening film "Alice in Wonderland", there have been about a hundred and one or so creative display windows, all kinds of shoes, Alice Temperley's new line, tea party-esque accessories, and everything else in between, all inspired by the story. With that said, I suppose the inspiration party wouldn't be complete without a high end fashion line using the story as a backdrop. Christian Dior is my favvvvvvvorite house not because John Galliano is doing Dior absolute justice, but because his work is purely a collection of wearable art at its finest. In Paris, his show was full of Madhatters and Alices of all kinds, surrealistically fairytale yet Parisian uptown chic. Everything, and I mean everything, is so beautiful and a complete dream. I've never been so satisfied with an entire collection, look by look, from the top of the head down to the tip of the toes. It is tres Galliano and once again he made the magic happen. I think it's the smooth leather and thigh-high boots contrasting with the wavy chiffon, some minis and some floor-sweeping, that really drew me in. But the biggest question in my head is: Can I pull off a top hat in the streets of downtown Seattle? Hmmmmm...
