Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2010 RTW

This is Tommy Hilfiger's best collection in a very long time. The last few seasons were unfortunate misses, but he came back with a fresh and youthful season and I'm so excited for it! There are some serious Fall wardrobe staples that every savvy girl needs to have. First, the skirt made with leather paillettes. It takes me back to my grade school years when I used to own a red plaid skirt that had two leather paillettes on it. I loved that skirt. Wore it everywhere and anywhere until I grew out of it. Then there are those high-waisted bermuda shorts. I'm thrilled they're pushing into Fall from Spring and Summer. It's v. office appropriate and you can even dress it up when you go out into the city with the perfect blazer (last look). Perhaps it's the fact that Peter Som is a new consultant for the line, that the brand is young again. It hasn't been confirmed if this partnership is set for the future, but collaboration or not the brand's looking good.

And btw, this was the last show to be held at Bryant Park after a solid eighteen years. Starting next season the shows will be held at The Lincoln Center, which is said to be bigger. This has absolutely no affect on me because I haven't been there for any of the shows (I should've snuck in and pretended I was a part of the hair & makeup crew...). But the last few times I vacay-ed in NYC, I always walked through the park and dreamed what it would be like to rub shoulders with Anna Wintour, Ashley and Mary Kate Olsen, Anne Hathaway, and maybe even catch a word with the thirteen-year old fashion blogger Tavi. Hopefully, just hopefully, I will have my golden opportunity to make my memories at Lincoln Center. It's quite a stretch but I think if I try hard enough I can do it.

LOL! Yea, right.
