What I've learned about shoes so far is that the comfort in a sandal is just as important as the comfort in a pair of 5-inch stilettos (I'd still do anything to wear that perfect killing-my-feet pair of fuck-me heels; pain is beauty, beauty is pain, my friends). I don't know about the rest of the world but when it's summer time I end up walking everywhere, and with the wrong pair of sandals I might as well be walking in a pair of cheap peep-toed pumps from Payless.
Ladies... your feet take you places you want to go so take care of them please. It's kind of like your boss at work re-locating your desk to the storage closet with lighting that makes you think you're in a dingy elevator that's stuck in the shaft and you can't ever get out, and with so much space that you might just be clinically diagnosed claustrophobic after less than an hour in there. You can't work under harsh conditions, right? Well, your feet can't either. Forget the faux leather and go for the real deal. It's really not that expensive anyway... Your feet will thank you kindly.
For Richard Chai's Spring/Summer 2010 collection, the models walked wearing a certain pair of sandals that I fell head over heels for. I did a post about it a couple of months ago but thought I might bring it up again cause it's been on my mind. It's made by Alexandre Birman and it's to die for. I've rummaged through Nordstrom's website to see if they've included anything that is similar to it, considering these sandals are not in mass production yet, and I've found some but not a whole lot. I might have to wait a little longer...
