Though Carolina Herrera is recognized to design beautiful dresses with a perfect fit to flatter any woman's body, she was never a major influence in my scene. I always thought her designs to be directed towards a different era of women, and obviously I haven't quite reached that part of my life just yet. I am only in my mid-twenties, but I can't pass this up because the collection is absolutely divine. It reminds me of Old Hollywood, when the likes of Katharine Hepburn reined the stage, the sets and the men. Women were much more romanticized back in those black and white days with cashmere, fur and silk, and there was an air of goddess-like aura that surrounded them with every step across the red carpet. I'm crossing my fingers for street-style sightings like these come next winter.
